Q. What forms of payment(s) are accepted on this site?
A. Currently, PayPal is the only accepted form of payment on this website.
Q. How long until I receive my download(s)?
A. Instantly! You will see a link on the checkout page after making your purchase and receive a link in your email!
Q. I’ve purchased an Exclusive Rights License, but only received the tagless .Wav? Where are my separated tracks?
A. Unfortunately the server that we are currently using has a limit on how much can be uploaded. Some of the beats are larger than what we are allowed to upload and will have to be sent manually. Any beat that has to be sent manually will be listed in the description field. The audio files will be sent within 24 hours. We do apologize for any inconvenience!
Q. What is your return policy?
A. Since we are offering digital products, there are no returns or refunds on purchases. If for some reason you cannot get our links to download your music, we will gladly help you in any way to make your purchase complete.
Q. What are Non-Exclusive and Exclusive Rights Licenses?
A. A Non-Exclusive license means a beat can be sold to more than one person. An Exclusive Rights license means only one person can use the beat. Under BOTH licenses beat/instrumental credit must be given to the producer of the track.
Q. How do I distinguish between a Non-Exclusive (Basic/Premium) and Exclusive Rights license when purchasing a beat/instrumental?
A. Its simple! You’ll see the different options listed right there in our Beat Store!
Q. How do I know who produced the beat?
A. The title or description will say who produced the beat
Q. Do the beats I buy have voice tags on them?
A. Only one tag at the beginning of the leased tracks.
Q. Is there a way of getting a print out of the agreement?
A. Unfortunately not at this moment, that is something we are working on. By clicking on the “I Agree” button at check out, you are bound to the terms and conditions of non exclusive or exclusive use (depending on your purchase). All tracks are downloaded from the site and do not come with printed terms.
Q. I’m interested in licensing some music for my TV/ Film/ Broadcast?
A. For any licensing enquires please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. Do you produce customized beats?
A. Yes we produce customized beats! Please contact email@example.com for pricing info as pricing differs from track to track.
Q. Do you provide Pro-Tools, Logic, Cubase, etc. sessions with my purchases?
A. Only for Exclusive Rights purchases. If there is a Pro-Tools session available for that beat we will include it in the download. Logic sessions are available for most beats and will be sent if requested.
Q. Are there any restrictions for using beats purchased? What about royalties?
A. Depending on which category you fall into, the restrictions are as follows:
Basic Lease: Mp3 will be delivered digitally. Also known as non exclusive rights, purchasing a lease grants the licensee limited artistic and legislative rights to the corresponding beat(s) for one single profitable/commercial use on any medium (e.g. album, EP or mixtape) with a circulation of up to 2.000 sales units (Physical or Digital). If this point of sale is reached and further sales are desired, a new lease or exclusive rights need to be acquired. (if the beat has not yet been sold with exclusive rights and is still available). If the beat is no more available for leasing, no more sales can be made after the sales cap is reached. A lease comes as a mixed MP3 with 1 voice tag at the beginning. A beat can be leased to more than one person at the same time until exclusive rights are sold to the beat. Once a beat has been sold with exclusive rights, it will no longer be available for any kind of leasing. Previous leasing rights that have been sold before are not affected & stay valid until the sales cap has been reached. Leasing a beat does not make the licensee the sole owner of the beat. The licensee is not allowed to get radio, video, or television airplay or to perform the song on commercial/profitable shows with a leasing license. For this purpose licensee must own exclusive rights to the beat. The licensor expressly forbids resale or any other distribution of the producer’s (licensors) compositions, either as they exist or any modification thereof. Licensee cannot sell, loan, rent, lease, assign, remix, rearrange, remove any melodies, instruments, drum programming, add additional elements (other than vocals) or transfer all or any of the products sold or the corresponding rights to another person (example Record Label, another production company, another producer, another artist), or for use in any competitive product. The licensee understands that the licensor maintains 100% copyright and ownership of the original instrumental composition. Licensee cannot use any beat compositions as background element in TV, Film & DVD / computer game projectswithout obtaining written consent and a separate license agreement. Licensee must include on all productions and products the producer’s name. Licensee agrees to display the producer’s name in all physical media or within web presentation of a portion (e.g. pre-listening) or sum of the original instrumental composition that is being licensed in this agreement. Including but not limited to CD’s, CD covers, Cassette tapes, LP’s, etc. Example credits: ‘Produced by. Peter Parker (or Korporate Sponsors if it is produced by Korporate Sponsors) Any displayed or downloadable MP3 files must include ‘prod. by Peter Parker (or Korporate Sponsors if it is a produced by Korporate Sponsors)
Premium Lease: Same restrictions as Basic Leasing Rights including the following differences: A premium lease comes as a mixed 1 tag .Wav file. Instead of an allowed circulation of up to 2,000 sales units, the premium lease allows up to 5,000 sales units.
Exclusive Rights: Exclusive Rights grant you unlimited recordings for profit and commercial broadcasts of the song you create with the track!!! You are also granted the right to unlimited mixes and alterations (however not altering the melody). Additionally, you are strictly prohibited from reselling the track or the rights to it. Writers Share, Publishers Share, and Mechanical Royalties do apply
Q. I’m interested in purchasing an Exclusive Rights License but have a question regarding Clause #4?
A. Completely understood. Let us try and break it down for you:
It is not the full 25% of all album sales, it is pro-rated so basically the formula breaks down to:
1. The total number of tracks
2. The total price of the CD
3. Divide the price of the CD by the number of tracks
4. Find 25% of price per track by taking the total amount per track and subtracting 75%
5. Multiply that by the tracks done by us
1. Say the CD/iTunes album has 14 tracks
2. Say the price of the album is $15
3. Divide $15 by the 14 tracks (that comes to $1.07 per song)
4. Subtract 75% from $1.07, that comes to be about $0.26 cents (which is the 25% that’s in the contract)
5. If we only do 1 track out of those 14 tracks that means the royalty would be $0.26 cents for each album sold.
Q. Anything we haven’t answered?
